A Tennessee Visitor

My sister's (Kerri) best friend from Tennessee came out for a week to visit.
I was so happy to be able to visit with her as well, my sisters and Bekah came out for the day and we enjoyed time together, talking laughing and eating cheesecake and ice cream :)

I kinda feel like the odd girl out in this picture, they all have blond hair and gray sweaters and there I am brown hair and blue sweater...it's okay, I'm just special :)

Selfie time!!

These 2 are so sweet. What are the chances that one lives in Tennessee the other in Manitoba and they would meet, become best friends and not only that but they are the exact same age, born on the same day only about 2 hrs apart! Now that's cool!! :)

We went over to my family's on the last day Bekah was here to celebrate Kerri, Bekah and Becca's birthday :)

Thankful for friends, and family and cheesecake..... :)

Anniversary Getaway

Over the week-end Henry and I went to the city for night for a little early Anniversary getaway. It was such a refreshing time focusing on us :) We had so much fun together as we always do, I am so blessed to be married to my best friend!

We did lots of shopping....

Henry found a new winter hat....or not :)

We went to the Millennium Library and set up the tripod for a little photo shoot :)

and to end it all off we (as tradition has it) went to apple bee's for some chimicheesecake! :)

Almost 3 years of marriage and every day it just keeps getting better!

What was happening 3 years ago..

I often like to look back in my pictures to see what I was doing this time a year ago, 2 years or in this case 3 years ago.
3 years ago at this time was full of wedding planning, house reno's,wedding showers, getting ready to spend forever with the man of my dreams!!
I love reflecting back on this time and remembering how blessed I was (and am :).

A bunch of lady's came together and showered me with many wonderful gifts. I still now whenever I pull a towel, or bowl that I got as a gift it put's a little smile on my face knowing that they are from the beginning of our marriage :)

So here is a little throw back thursday for you :)

Order Up!

Who knew a frying pan and spoons could be so funny! :)

Valentines Banquet

Last Friday my family put on a Valentines banquet at our church. They asked me to help with decorations which I happily accepted :) We spent all day Friday decorating and food prep.

What better use for the pastor's office then to store dessert and do a little taste testing??

Kerri was enjoying herself :)

We all joined her to make sure that it was good...and it most defiantly was! :)

I had fun with the decorating and Brooke helped me set everything up!

@ 6:30 the guests arrived, there was a bunch of AMAZING food and lots of fun games planned for the evening. Once again my family pulled together and made such a memorable evening for us all!

And of course I had to get a pic or two with my Valentine :)

I love him!
